BELLADRUM FESTIVAL HITS THE HIGH STREET

FESTIVAL FIRST – Belladrum Tartan Heart Festival makes history, with Co-Op store takeover across Scotland

Scotland’s most-loved family friendly music festival, Belladrum Tartan Heart, is once again proving the power of partnerships with a bold new in-store campaign in collaboration with long-time partner Co-op.  From building the UK’s first on-site Co-op supermarket at a festival, to bringing its beloved mascot into 70+ Co-op stores, Belladrum and Co-op continue to break new ground in their partnership.

This June, over 70 Co-op stores across Scotland will welcome a very special visitor in the form of an (almost) life-sized cut-out of Belladrum’s original mascot, Bella the Cow, who’ll be popping up alongside vibrant posters and exclusive QR codes. Festival fans who are Co-op members will be able to snap a photo of Bella, upload to social media and tag the 2 partners for a chance to win tickets to Belladrum 2025.

There will be an additional option to scan the QR code to have double the chance to  enter into the competition to win weekend tickets to Belladrum 2025 – which is celebrating 21 years this year with artists such as Paul Heaton, Supergrass, Texas, Example, CMAT, Tom Walker and hundreds more including Scottish favourites Tide Lines, Skipinnish and Beluga Lagoon.

The activation marks over a decade of collaboration between Belladrum and Co-op, and a shared history of innovation and community. Back in 2014, Co-op launched their very first full-service supermarket on the festival site at Belladrum, complete with aisles, checkouts, chilled drinks, and essentials. It was a first that brought convenience into the festival space, while supporting local suppliers and reducing waste.

Now in 2025, the partnership continues to evolve – taking the festival beyond the fields and directly into the daily lives of communities across the country.

Dougie Brown, Festival Producer

“Our latest promotion with Co-op is about continuing a story we’ve built together since 2014. Belladrum and Co-op continue to redefine what a festival partnership can look like – rooted in community, fun, and creativity. Now we’re turning everyday shopping trips into a chance to experience something magical this summer!”

The campaign also spotlights Belladrum’s unique position in the UK festival landscape. Known for its family-friendly vibe, immersive themes, and focus on Scottish music, culture and heritage, the festival has grown into a sold-out highlight of the summer, attracting 25,000 attendees annually to the Highlands.
